Enhancing Centrifugal Fan Impeller Life: Strategies and Techniques

Axial fans, commonly used in steel factories and cement plants for powder transportation, can wear down rapidly. When constructing these fans, it’s crucial to consider ways of preventing excessive wear on the fan impeller.

For mitigating wear, there are several methods typically employed: forming stainless steel fan impellers with scale; applying a durable chrome coating or hard metal platting; welding stainless steel to the fan impeller with indomitable solder rods; and affixing liners (which can be replaced when worn) onto the impeller.
