Understanding the Capabilities and Classifications of High-Temperature Fans

Some may ask, “What temperature can it withstand?” High-temperature fans typically operate in the range of 0 to 800 degrees Celsius (this refers to the working temperature, not the ambient temperature).

For standard high-temperature fans, an intake temperature of up to 800 degrees Celsius is manageable. If the temperature exceeds 800 degrees Celsius, we at Besttor can custom-make fans, with our specialty being high-temperature fans rated for 850 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, centrifugal fans can be categorized based on their heat resistance into three classes:

  1. High-temperature fans for 140℃~400℃;
  2. High-temperature fans for 400℃~600℃;
  3. High-temperature fans for 600℃~900℃.

These three types of fans are made using different grades of stainless steel.

For specific conditions where temperatures exceed 1000℃, titanium material is required.

High-temperature fans are essentially the same as regular fans, but with added cooling fans and thermal insulation plates between the fan casing and the motor. This makes them more suitable for use in high-temperature operations.
