The structure of axial fans is relatively simple, with the main components being the fan impeller and casing, but they have high performance requirements. However, no matter how good the performance of the equipment is, regular maintenance is still necessary. Here’s how to maintain an axial fan:
Cleaning the Fan: The area where the axial fan is used needs to be kept clean, and the surface of the fan itself should also be cleaned regularly. The inlet and outlet of the fan must be free from debris, and any dust or debris inside the fan or the ducts should be cleaned periodically.
Checking Before Start-up: Before starting the fan, ensure that the fan is in good condition. Check that the electrical facilities have adequate capacity, stable voltage, and that the necessary operational conditions are met. Temporary wiring should not be used for long-term power supply; a dedicated line should be employed.
During Operation: If abnormal noises, overheating, electrical faults, tripping, or failure to start are observed during operation, the fan should be shut down immediately for inspection. Repairs should not be conducted while the fan is running to prevent accidents. After repairs, perform a 5-minute test run before restarting to ensure no abnormalities.
Storage: The fan should be stored in a dry place to avoid moisture damage. If it must be stored outdoors due to limited conditions, appropriate protective measures should be taken.
