What should be done if the main shaft bearing of the FRP anti-corrosion centrifugal fan bends and cracks?

During the operation of the anti-corrosion centrifugal fan, the main shaft bearings may occasionally bend or even break. The main reasons for this problem are as follows:

Vibration caused by the imbalance of the centrifugal impeller: Due to the wear of the centrifugal impeller or the relatively serious scaling on the blades, the centrifugal impeller will be in an unbalanced state, thus generating a filtering inertial torque. The inertia generated by the rotation of the filter is very likely to cause strong vibration. When the main shaft bearings bear this strong vibration, they may bend or even break.

The deformation of the shaft due to problems with the shaft roller bearings: In an industrial production environment, if the shaft roller bearings suffer from serious wear, excessive vibration, or strong shock vibrations, it will exert additional stress on the shaft. Over time, these stresses will cause the shaft to bend and deform, affecting the normal operation of the fan.

Shaft deformation caused by installation errors: When maintaining the FRP anti-corrosion centrifugal fan, if the problems existing in the installation process of the fan and the motor are not detected in a timely manner, when the two shafts of the FRP anti-corrosion centrifugal fan are connected through the key coupling, if the axial and radial errors are too large, it will make the entire generator set vibrate. And this continuous vibration will eventually lead to the deformation of the shaft.

In response to the above problems, the following corresponding solutions can be taken:

Inspect and repair the worn components in a timely manner: Once the wear of the centrifugal impeller and the rolling bearings is found, inspection and repair should be carried out immediately to avoid the occurrence of 3N vibration in the generator set (if the “3N vibration” here has a specific meaning, it can be further explained; if it is just a general reference to a certain vibration, it can be left as it is). By replacing the worn components in a timely manner, the normal operation of the fan can be ensured, and the damage to the main shaft bearings caused by the vibration due to component wear can be reduced.

Strictly test and calibrate the main shaft bearings: For the main shaft bearings, whether they are new or old shafts, strict tests must be carried out. The usual method is to install the working shaft onto the FRP anti-corrosion centrifugal fan, and then use an inside micrometer dial gauge to accurately measure the degree of shaft bending. For the bent shaft, calibration should be carried out in a timely manner to restore it to the normal working state and ensure the stable operation of the fan.

Follow the technical standards for installation and maintenance: During the installation and maintenance process of the FRP anti-corrosion centrifugal fan, the technical standards and requirements of the FRP anti-corrosion centrifugal fan must be fully considered and strictly followed. During the installation process, ensure the correct connection between the fan and the motor, and strictly control the axial and radial errors within the allowable range. At the same time, during maintenance, carefully check the installation status of the equipment, promptly detect and correct any possible problems, so as to reduce the occurrence of faults such as shaft deformation caused by improper installation.
