Applications, characteristics and selection of turbine-type and volute-type centrifugal fans

Turbine-type Centrifugal Fan:

Characteristics:
The impeller of the turbine-type centrifugal fan adopts the internationally standard backward-inclined design. With a perfect streamlined structure, the large-opening impeller admits air through the central opening. When the air enters through the central opening, a strong centrifugal force is generated, and it is quickly thrown out and exhausted by the backward-inclined impeller blades. The turbine structure design enables the fan to generate a large air volume and air pressure.

Highlights:
The turbine-type centrifugal fan is composed of two parts: an external rotor motor with overload thermal protection and an efficient backward-inclined circular arc centrifugal impeller. All impellers are produced by mold processing and have been verified at high speed by a precision dynamic balancing machine. It has the advantages of small size, high efficiency, large air volume, small vibration, low noise, superior performance, and convenient installation and debugging.

Applications:
Material: Made of PA6 plastic, using an integrated plastic molding process. The diameter ranges from 155mm to 250mm.
Application Scope: Air purification equipment, factory instrument equipment (such as printing equipment, chemical fiber equipment, etc.), medical equipment, fresh food cabinets, freezing cabinets, servo motors, inverters, pipeline ventilation, dehumidifiers, etc.

Volute-type Centrifugal Fan:

Characteristics:
The volute-type centrifugal fan drives the impeller to rotate through the motor. The blades in the impeller force the gas to rotate and do work on the gas, increasing its energy. Under the action of centrifugal force, the gas is thrown out in all directions of the impeller. The volute-shaped casing converts the kinetic energy of speed into pressure energy. When the gas in the impeller is discharged, the pressure inside the impeller is lower than that at the air inlet. New gas is sucked into the impeller under the action of the pressure difference, and the gas is continuously output from the outlet.

Highlights:
The fan adopts a reasonable impeller angle design according to aerodynamics. During operation, there is no mechanical friction. The reasonable blade profile reduces the noise to the lowest level. The optimized impeller design minimizes the axial force, and it has an efficient impeller that has been corrected for static and dynamic balance, making the whole machine run stably. Without any additional vibration damping device, the amplitude of the bearing is relatively small.

Applications:
Material: The outer frame is die-cast from aluminum, and the impeller is made of galvanized sheet with a black electrophoretic coating on the surface. The diameter ranges from 120mm to 160mm.
Application Scope: Sterilizers, heat exchange systems, ultra-clean workbenches, air showers, laboratory equipment, etc.
