Sealing Methods of Anticorrosive Centrifugal Fans

  1. Labyrinth seal
The labyrinth seal, also known as the comb seal, is widely used in anticorrosive centrifugal fan products. The labyrinth seal is mostly used for inter-stage sealing in anticorrosive centrifugal fan products and also for the bearing end cover seal for gas transportation.
  2. Floating ring seal
The floating ring seal uses the floating oil that generates working pressure between the main shaft and the floating ring to maintain the balance between the comprehensive working pressure of the floating oil and the external load (the working pressure of the steam parameters) and seal the radial leakage of substances during operation. Due to the advantage of automatic centering of the floating ring seal, the sealing gap can be smaller. As the leakage decreases, the working pressure of the sealing body can be adjusted according to the working pressure of the sealed material. The fluctuating ring and the shaft maintain a liquid friction state to prevent mechanical equipment damage. This seal is used to ensure that the transported steam does not leak when the working pressure is high or when transporting corrosive steam.
  3. Mechanical seal
The inner hole seal of anticorrosive centrifugal fan mechanical equipment is a radial rotating sealing device that exceeds the sealing by the clamping torque and material of the friction pair of the inner hole of the static and moving rings and the working pressure of the elastic element. The sealing material usually uses sealing fluid (turbine oil) with a working pressure 2.5 to 3.5 times higher than that of the sealing material. During the entire rotation process, an oil film is generated on the friction surface. The working pressure of the oil film is outward-looking, from large to small, and finally reaches equilibrium with the sealing material. Since the working pressure of the sealing fluid always exceeds the sealing material, under normal circumstances, the sealing material is not easy to leak, but a small amount of the sealing fluid leaks inward. The leaked sealing fluid will be comprehensively utilized through the oil return port. Due to the structural change, the residual oil in the mechanical seal is much less than the cooking oil used in the floating ring seal, but they both belong to floating oil seals.
  4. Gas seal
The gas seal is a gas film seal, which is a better sealing method for turbine refrigeration compressors and has a better sealing effect. N2 or other harmless steam is used as the sealing material. The cleanliness requirement for the sealing steam is very high, and there is a relatively complex gas path system software.
